Grammar may be questionable, but I promise the shopping advice is not.
OMG this week has been… a week. First and foremost, for those who asked if my face de-puffed (this was last week’s saga) - YES!!! I’m back to me and my kids are not scared (or embarrassed) anymore. So that’s a win. But lets see…LA has basically been underwater, which meant we didn’t leave the house for 48 hours over the weekend. The kids went feral, the house got so messy that if we hadn’t been home I’m pretty sure someone would’ve assumed we were robbed (which actually reminds me of a hilarious story… but I’ll save that for another day). And meanwhile, my brain was completely fried trying to keep up with all the “early Black Friday sales” — which, by the way, makes zero sense. Just call it a sale. Literally anything else. Black Friday used to hold such a special place in my heart (and my wallet). Now the days of waking up at sunrise and forcing my whole family to be first at the mall are nothing but ancient memories. Tragic, honestly.
But here is the good news…thanks to having way too much wine and too much time over the weekend I found lots off good stuff to share. And while I wish I could say the this edition flowed as effortlessly as the man (many, too many) bottles of wine we went through during the storm it sadly doesn’t. So is there any order to this edition? Absolutely not. Do I blame the wine? Definitely. But, Trust Me - it’s all things you need to know about so happy scrolling! Xx, E
LET’S START OFF WITH SOME REALLY EPIC SALES HAPPENING RIGHT NOW…
Moda Operandi - This is a good one! Collections you might want to take a closer look at are Johanna Ortiz (especially) going to somewhere hot over the holidays), and if you have an event in the future (near or far) there are some really great sales on timeless gowns
Kirna Zabete (this is a fav boutique of mine in NYC) - VERY good sale happening right now! And you should just bookmark this store because it’s a good spot to find unique pieces.
Jenessa Leone - Private Sale! 30% OFF with code “Privatesale” (you will not see discount until check out)
RMS Beauty - 30% Sitewide! I’m obsessed with so many of their products like the lip oil and the hydra powder blush (it’s the best highlighter)
The Outnet is getting new pieces daily and right now they are giving 25% off in addition to their already heavily discounted pieces - lots of The Elder Statesman, Zimmerman (beautiful coat), oh and if you want skiwear don’t forget to check theirs out because with the extra 25% the deals are so good.
It just wouldn’t be right not to include some rainy day looks (but hopefully we can move on to sunshine and puffers)…

Moving on…
Last week I went to the Mango store at the Beverly Center (in la) — yup, in person, and yup the Beverly Center (yes LA natives you read it right, the BC) - and it was heaven. In fact, so heavenly that I completely forgot to pick up my daughter for early release. But in fairness… not ONE friend reminded me. Oh, don’t worry, a friend came to Isla’s rescue and she happily landed in an impromptu playdate. And honestly, if I hadn’t stayed, you wouldn’t be reaping the benefits — see, so really, we all won here!
Anyway, back to Mango — their “faux” fur and leather pieces were shockingly good quality, and they had a ton of real leather jackets that I was drooling over. This bomber came home with me - OBSESSED.
By the end of my little shopping spree, I walked out with a very full shopping bag and an equally full load of guilt for shopping unnecessarily… oh, and of course for forgetting Isla — eek. So before I lose track of any more children today, here’s what I would check out at Mango…

One more random, non- fashion related, but very important, question…
Have you heard of Wild Fork?
Well if not — you need to know about this place (I believe its nationwide and they ship I think). So the quick version is its a grocery store that focuses on carying high quality meat and fish (but like every type you could imagine) . Here’s how I found it…
Last week my son wanted lamb chops for dinner. Don’t worry, that’s not the story. So while I was “preparing”… and by preparing, I mean panic-scrolling through DoorDash and Instacart trying to track down high-quality (grass-fed, of course) lamb chops because my son — the same one who requests Annie’s cheese pizza seven days a week — decided to go completely off-menu at 6 p.m. Obviously I had to comply; I’m an overbearing Jewish mom who does pretty much whatever her kids tell me (well… except play board games, that’s where I draw the line).
Had I known he wanted lamb chops, I would’ve picked them up at the grocery store (fine, I don’t actually go to the grocery store… but for the sake of the story, let’s pretend).
Anyway… there I was, frantically scrolling, sweating, fully spiraling, because telling him I failed this mission would’ve ruined my night — not out of guilt, but because he would’ve completely overreacted and, worse, interrupted my podcast (which my kids have no idea I’m secretly listening to during witching hour — shhh).
And just when I was about to give up, Wild Fork appeared!
Side Note - When I ordered I didn’t know: everything is blast-frozen “at the peak of freshness to lock in that straight-from-the-farm flavor.” I thought the frozen part would be an issue, but I just cooked the chops a little longer and they came out so good. I also purchased their wild shrimp and made a very, very easy veggie/shrimp dish in like min Had to share a photo (you know, for my mom).
If you know of it, or try it I would be curious to what you thought. OBSESSED!
Ok, that’s all for tonight. Have lots more to share so lets just call this part 1 of edition 2. To be Cont.
Xx, E
